In Situ Treatment
A few In Situ treatment projects carried out by DDH -
Water treatment (mercury, toluene, PAH, and various metals) following spills or during contaminated site restoration work.
-
Plans and specifications, and sites restoration work supervision including excavation, pumping, In Situ treatment (biodegradation, bioslurping, bioventing).
-
Design, installation and operation of water treatment units (separator, removal of volatile organic compounds, etc.).
-
Biogas management on a former landfill site in order to develop residential and recreational sites.
-
Evaluation and design of an In Situ groundwater treatment system for volatile organic compounds present in a low permeability matrix.
-
Evaluation of In Situ contaminated soil and groundwater treatment technologies on an industrial site located over a highly porous aquifer used as a drinking water source.
-
Installation and monitoring of a hydraulic dam equipped with tie-in trenches, a pumping system and a groundwater treatment unit, in order to stop contaminant migration beyond site limits and municipal sewage system infiltrations.
