Hazardous and Residual Material Management Program

A few projects carried out by DDH in this field

  • Characterization study and development of waste management measures: asbestos, mercury, PCBs, lead, used oils, steel dust, automobile hulk residue, sludge accumulated at the bottom of storage tanks, catalysts, etc.

  • Characterization and supervision of asbestos removal and various waste collection, in particular PCBs, in many buildings.

  • Training program on secure removal of products containing asbestos for maintenance employees.

  • Development of a hazardous and residual material management program in federal installations located in the province of Québec.
